Did you ever come to the conclusion that useless activities were sapping your strength and killing your creativity? Who hasn’t? Self-help books that purport to eliminate such all-too-human situations are rampant. As a musician, of course, there’s nothing worse than getting stuck in a rut. One should always be ready with the next solo, the next song, the next project, and there is no time for inertia. One of the best books written on the subject is by a musician as well as an author and self-help guru. His name is Robert Fritz and the book is called Your Life as a Work of Art. I found it quite helpful.
